I think my love for photography began out of a love for beauty and light. I have always been drawn to light….the way it peeks out from behind a cloud to reveal a "silver lining" or the way it streams through the trees of a forest….creating sunbeams that remind me of the very Creator of light!

After my first child was born, I was given a camera, and I discovered I could actually "capture" that light! As beautiful as a "silver lining" is, it was nothing compared with the light that gently kissed my babies face or danced in my children’s eyes! From the very first time I discovered I could capture light and beauty, I was hooked!

My passion was further ignited when my daughter became a professional print model at the age of 2. I was able to watch some of the best fashion photographers in the business and would then practice replicating the techniques I had seen. After a while I was photographing children of my friends and family in addition to my own.

In 2008 with my "babies" grown, I took my passion for photography to the professional level when I started my business, Captivating, Inc. My focus will always include children, I love kids and their authenticity in front of a camera. That has served to shape my casual style of fine art portraiture. In addition to children I enjoy working with seniors, couples and weddings.

My style is creative and unique. I look forward to giving you a product that is truly "captivating"!
